I am a commercial real estate broker specializing in development, marketing, business analysis, strategic planning and brokerage with over 27 years of experience. I am also President of TREC International Inc, a Vancouver based management and development consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning and repositioning of resort, tourism, retail, businesses, and economic developments. This enables me to continue to keep abreast with industry trends and market conditions as well as identify top or profitable 'niches' or opportunities that typical brokers often miss.
Prior to joining NAI Commercial and establishing TREC International in 1997, I was employed for 12 years by two of North America’s leading hotel, hospitality, tourism, and retail consulting firms during which time I spent almost ten years managing real estate offices in Queensland, Australia and Vancouver, BC.
As a result of this background experience, I have the expertise on how to position, develop, reposition and/or acquire, sell/lease real estate developments or businesses as profitable ventures. I also have the industry contacts to make this happen.
I have written a diverse array of resort, retail & spa articles for the Urban Land Institute’s (ULI) Resort Development Handbook, Urban Land magazine (Resort & Recreation Development issues), SAM (Ski Areas Management) Magazine, Lodging Business magazine, the International Spa Association (ISPA) Pulse Journal, and frequently by various business publications and newspapers on topics related to the development & market aspects of the resort, retail & spa industries.
